She also has a problem with grooming. Once she coughed so hard that Dick looked, then pulled a bunch of hair from the back of her throat. Our solution, a shave that leaves a ruff, fluff at the end of the tail, and leggings--like a lion. It's a look! She hated the buzz of the electric clippers, but has so much energy now, she's kittenish. In winter, I give her a pillow with a pet heater inside and she's warm and content. Cuddles, our cat, had the same problem with heat and long hair. She also has a problem with grooming.
